The Mission

LANDROVER.jpg

Our idea was that while many of us considers the rugged outdoors appealing and irresistible, let's

be honest, most of us do this from the comfort of a well equipped tow vehicle during the day.

So when it comes to spending the night at a breathtaking, peaceful location in a state of the art

purpose built overlanding trailer, is it really fair to expect the users to settle for a plastic bucket in

the woods?

In our opinion definitely not. We value the availability of a refreshing clean shower indoors and a

comfortable option for basic toilet use, especially in the middle of the night. Therefore, this is how

we developed our trailer, too. (Just because you size down from a large RV, you are not expected to

size down in basic amenities)

While we insisted that that our camper would have a dry bath, which may seem to be a luxury (at

least considering all other small overlanding trailers), we also wanted to make sure that the entire

design is about function, simplicity and therefore reliability. We designed all the necessities into the

RUPPERT overland trailers, using good quality materials and parts, and that is it.

Did not, however, design items that are mainly for show for a number of reasons:

Zoltan Ruppert personally always liked purpose built simple tools, that can be potentially handed

down to the next generation because they last. The more complex and multifunctional things get,

the more prone for failure they get, too. When someone is out in the wilderness alone, or even with

others, the last thing they want is second guessing the capability and reliability of their rig.

We also worked hard keeping the RUPPERT overland trailers as light as possible while maintaining

their ruggedness. This again meant that we only selected the built-in items that are absolutely

necessary for a successful and comfortable overlanding trip. Nothing more, but of course, nothing

less either.

When it comes to those items, however, we carefully chose products that are tried and true and we

enjoyed as well. Hence the Max Coupler hitch, Timbren suspension, Dometic stove, Truma

systems, Tern Overland windows and entrance door, etc.

Because overlanding is our passion and we take it very seriously, it shows in our trailers, too.
